Touma (当麻)

Profile

Hashiba Touma

October 10th 1973 Blood Type AB

165cm/5'4” 55kg/121lbs

Birthplace: Osaka Prefecture (Next to Hirakata City)

Touma, to have been the armor of wisdom, had to be very smart. To say how smart he is, from the beginning we knew he would be a genius with an IQ of 250. Also, he is actually a mathematics genius. He really did get his father's blood.

As one of the 'Samurai Troopers', Touma would rarely go outside by himself. He is always calm, and each one of the Troopers would follow him. When he entered the Youjakai, he acted as the strategist when he fought alongside Ryo. In the end, he was a clever guy that capitalized off of a promising situation.

But, for some reason, this cool, confident figure, doesn't seem to be his real self. In reality he doesn't have a playful personality. Occasionally, you see this side of him when he tells jokes, but they usually end in utter failure.

Famly Life

Father: He is a mad university professor. Just how mad? He's like Emit Brown (Doc) from the movie Back to the Future. His specialties are Physics and Astronomy. Particularly a deep knowledge of the relationship of Outer Space. He has a lot of confidence in his own theory, and won't bend it for anyone. It seems as if he has nothing to do with a normal life... so, in the end, he is just a mad scientist.

Mother: Even though she is divorced, she is still a part of Touma's life. She's a normal woman, but being the wife of a mad scientist is a bit painful. “I can't associate with that father of yours.” She would meet with Touma occasionally and say, “I'm sorry to impose myself on your father,” so in the end she is a cheerful mother.

How he got his armor

Touma, who was rebellious toward his space oriented father, became interested in ancient history and the art of war. He handles himself considerably well in current popular simulation games. He was researching the mystery of his family lineage when he came to find the armor. He is a unique Trooper as he finds the armor using his wisdom.

Sports & Hobbies

As for sports, he likes baseball. He's anti Giants, but that's not to say that he's a Hanshin fan. As for sports he plays, he likes Kyuudo and Archery. Because of this, he handles Tenku's bow in both the western style and Japanese style. He's also a member of his school's Kyuudo club. His hobbies are Go, Shogi, and puzzles. He likes things that make him use his head. He also likes computer games, he plays simulation games like Nobunaga's Ambition.

People he respects

Shoutoku Taishi and Shokatsuryo Komei

Because of his interest in ancient history and war tactics, he holds these two in particular, to a high esteem. He a completely serious guy.

Dislikes

Giants fans. He's a guy who's not into mainstream things, and hates people who are Giants fans because of what the media says.

The prayer from the heart of a pure person was necessary to invoke the Kikoutei.

You remember this type of line right. “It looks as if we aren't the only ones being targeted” as well as, “Are you saying that Nasuti and Jun are connected to this fight as well?” are also lines that existed. Nasuti and Jun's role, in this fight, is just as one would expect.

Nasuti and Jun weren't just hostages that were used to keep the Troopers from achieving their goals. However, this will be an important point. Actually, the three imperial treasures (the Kikoutei, Jewel of Life, and the Swords) are not truly invoked by someone who casts off fighting, or someone who has no strength. Because Nasuti and Jun are not possessed of greed or wicked thoughts they are not taken to the Youjakai, and act alongside the Troopers. The youja would persistently target and attempt to separate the two of them from the troopers since they were so afraid of the true power of the armors.
